A Spontaneous Fall Photoshoot

Blush & Burgundy

Sometimes things just come together perfectly. In this case it was a fast approaching ad deadline, one amazing photographer, some seriously beautiful dahlias, a stunning color palette, and a 70 degree October day.

After a laptop vs. water incident at the shop, we were left with only a few saved wedding pictures for an ad in Madison Wedding Planner and Guide-due in just two days! After trying, frantically to track down photos without much luck, the SP team began to brainstorm.

We have flowers.

We know awesome photographers.

We like to be outside on beautiful fall days. :)

Feelings of panic turned into inspiration as we began to plan our spontaneous photoshoot.

Boss lady Cathy and the whole SP team were loving blush roses, dahlias, and as always, TEXTURE! We decided to get in on the super trendy blush, burgundy, and champagne color palette that has been all over bride's Pinterest boards. The result was, in the words of Cathy, a bangin’ bridal bouquet and floral crown to rule them all. Deep burgundy dahlias, hanging amaranthus, sprigs of rosemary, and scabiosa pods kept the light blush bridal colors feelin' like fall. The bouquet was finished with long trailing silver, champagne, and burgundy ribbon, perfect to catch the breeze on a gusty October afternoon. The colors at Shumacher Farm Park were a gorgeous backdrop to our photos and the overcast day made the light just right.

All said and done, everything, came together in just 4 days- not too shabby!

We are loving the results and hope you do too! More styled shoots are definitely in our future; keep an eye out for those and for our ad in Madison Wedding Planner and Guide. :)

Happy travels love bug!

Special thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.
