The 2012 REACH a Child Kiss a Pig contest will go down in history, this year. Combined, the contestants raised $3,110 - the most EVER in Kiss A Pig history! This year's "winners" were Rod Ripp of Ripp's Bar and Cathy Clemens of Sweet Pea Floral.

Over two months, contestants collected donations for REACH a Child, a non-profit organization that distributes books to children in times of crisis. Funds raised during the Kiss a Pig contest will help REACH a Child launch a new initiative to get books to children of incarcerated parents, when they visit that parent in Correctional Facilities, across the State.

REACH a Child is trying to prevent future crime by promoting literacy and hopefully ending the cycle of incarceration.

The final Standings are as follows: 1) Rod Ripp of Ripp's Bar, $696.75. 2) Jordan Kaltenberg of Anytime Fitness, $411. 3) Ashley Boyd of Hello Gorgeous Salon, $358. 4) Roger Endres Sr. of Town and Country Builders, $356. 5) Glenn Schultz of Kwik Trip, $299. 6) Judy Acker Maly of RE/Max Preferred, $292.60. 7) Debbie Paulson of Kwik Trip/Waunakee High School, $244. 8) Brent Ziegler of H&R Carpets, $178.79. 9) Peggy Ripp of Peg & Doc's, $142. 10) Cathy Clemens-Sweet Pea Floral, $131.86.

Rod and Cathy, as the highest and lowest fundraisers, both puckered up and kissed Lucy, the pretty Pot-bellied Pig.

The staff at REACH a Child, expressed appreciation toward the contestants who worked extremely hard and gave tirelessly of themselves to make this the most successful Kiss a Pig contest to date.
